High Protein Pasta Recipe (that doesn't taste like it)

High Protein Pasta

For our recipes, we like to keep things as simple as possible, that way you don't mind making them time and time again. Depending on how much time/effort you want to put into your recipes there will be some options to adjust along the way.

Ingredients:

  • Banza Pasta
  • 1lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pasta:
    • Boil a pot of water and cook the Banza pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Beef:
    • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the beef and season with salt and pepper. Once the beef is halfway done, add in the chopped zucchini. Cook until the beef is cooked through. Set the beef aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
    • Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until they're soft and fragrant. Then add in the sauce.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    • Add the cooked beef and zucchini back into the skillet with the onions and garlic.
  5. Bring it Together:
    • Add the cooked chickpea pasta to the skillet with the beef. Toss everything together to combine.
  6. Season and Serve:
    • Season the dish with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if you prefer some heat.
    • If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir to combine.
    • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

If you are running short on extra ingredients or time, omit the garlic, onions, and basil. Keep it simple! Remember: exercise AND nutrition are key if your goals are to change your body composition, increase muscle mass, or lose weight. Finding meals you can make easily time and time again is important if you want to meet your goals and keep them.
